KUWAIT: Zain Kuwait’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Hamad Al-Marzouq, participated in a panel discussion at the recent Cloud Day 2024 conference, organized by Google Cloud in Kuwait. The event came under the patronage and attendance of Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Omar Al-Omar, along with top executives from the public and private sectors. Al-Marzouq joined the session entitled “Strategies for Leaders on Adopting Generative AI”, which featured experts and executives from Google Cloud and local private sector organizations across the biggest industries like telecom, banking, and energy.

During the session, Al-Marzouq emphasized Zain’s early investment in Generative AI solutions, positioning the company as a key partner for the government in driving digital transformation, serving the goals of the ‘New Kuwait 2035’ vision, and fostering sustainable economic growth, alongside major global partners and tech leaders like Google Cloud. He also outlined Zain’s plans to leverage Generative AI to enhance customer service, deliver exceptional user experiences, and offer personalized customer journeys in a highly competitive market. The discussion explored AI’s potential in areas like chatbots/agents, personalized recommendations, and proactive customer support.

Al-Marzouq also emphasized GenAI’s vast potential to optimize network performance and efficiency, enhance infrastructure planning, and drive operational improvements within the telecom industry. The session covered strategies for measuring the return on investment (ROI) of Generative AI initiatives and ensuring their successful implementation. Participants discussed the importance of collaboration with industry peers, technology partners, and educational institutions to foster innovation and accelerate the adoption of Generative AI across various sectors.

Cloud Day 2024 also included an interactive session led by Haya Al-Mana, Zain Kuwait’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Expert.
