KUWAIT: President of Olympic Council of Asia Raja Randhir Singh thanked HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-JaberAl-Sabah and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-HamadAl-Sabah for the good reception during his visit to Kuwait.

He said that he visited Kuwait several times the first of which was in 1983 to meet the Martyr Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah one year after moving the OCA headquarters from India to Kuwait and “my visits continued afterwards uninterrupted except during the Corona pandemic.

He said the support of the state of Kuwait to OCA helped strengthening the Asian Olympic movement, as was confirmed during OCA meetings in Bangkok and New Delhi

He said the OCA was founded in 1913 in Manila to care for the Asian sports and youth to create sports events in Asia including the Asian games.

Meanwhile, President of Kuwait and Asian Aquatics Federations Sheikh Khalid Al-Bader Al-Sabah met the President of the Olympic Council of Asia Raja Randhir Singh during his visit to Kuwait and congratulated him on being elected president for this sports major entity which is considered a model for sports solidarity.

The two sides discussed several issues concerning Asian sports affairs in general and means of developing Aquatics games in Asia in particular as the meeting was also attended by the Director of OCA Hussein Al-Musallam.

Al-Bader said the meeting was fruitful due to OCA’s president knowledge and clear vision aiming at extending all types of support and cooperation for sport and athletes in Asia which became a tough number in all sports competitions be them Olympic or international.

Sheikh Khalid Al-Bader said that Singh has a clear road map that aims at making Asia a world leader in the individual games, and the OCA in cooperation with the Asian federations will give all types of support and remove all types of obstacles to achieve the sought after goal.

Meanwhile OCA president thanked Sheikh Khalid Al-Bader for his continued efforts in order to improve aquatics games in Asia, and that strengthening cooperation and coordination with OCA will lead to achieving the sought after goals.
