KUWAIT: Government spokesman Amer Al-Ajmi said Monday on his X account that he has submitted his resignation for personal reasons. Ajmi said he worked very hard to serve the nation in his duty as the spokesman of the government.

Man kills driver, dumps body

KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti was arrested for the premeditated murder of a driver after being spotted disposing of bloodstained clothes. Investigators in Saad Al-Abdullah tracked the suspect through surveillance footage and found traces of blood in his vehicle. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and led authorities to the victim’s body, which was dumped in a desert near Amghara scrapyard.

Saudi king undergoes tests

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has a lung infection and underwent medical tests on Sunday night. King Salman “will undergo some medical tests this evening, ...based on the recommendations of the royal clinics, due to a lung infection,” said the statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency. — AFP

Zionists kill boy in West Bank

RAMALLAH: Two Palestinians including a 12-year-old boy were killed in separate Zionist raids in the occupied West Bank on Monday. The Palestinian health ministry said Ziad Abu Haleel, 66, was killed when “(Zionist) forces attacked him during a raid on his home in Dura, south of Hebron”. Abu Haleel’s son Murad said his father died after being beaten by Zionist soldiers who had come to arrest his brother. In the second incident, the ministry announced the death of Hatem Ghaith, 12, “due to critical injuries sustained from the occupation’s gunfire in Qalandiya camp”. — AFP
