NEW YORK: Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya took part in a ministerial meeting on Wednesday that featured GCC Foreign Ministers and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, currently held in New York. During the meeting, the ministers reviewed and focused on close relations and strategic partnership between the GCC member states and the United States. They further discussed varied domains of cooperation between the two sides in all political and security issues, in addition to regional topics of mutual interest, mainly the current developments and their repercussions in the region.

GCC-Benelux meeting

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Al-Yahya, attended the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Benelux Union—comprising of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York. The meeting focused on the relations between the countries, cooperation, and coordination between the GCC and the Benelux Union, exploring ways to enhance ties in political, economic, and investment sectors.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to shared principles, objectives, and the strategic partnership between the two groups.
