Kuwait slams Zionist attacks

KUWAIT: The foreign ministry on Tuesday expressed robust condemnation of the air raids and military operations carried out by the Zionist occupation forces against the brotherly Republic of Lebanon. This offensive, that inflicted hundreds of deaths and injuries, is a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law and a dangerous threat to the region’s security and stability. It warned anew of the repercussions of the mounting escalation that may eventually expand and lead to dangers affecting states of the region. – KUNA

Biometrics at malls stops Oct 1

KUWAIT: The interior ministry announced on Tuesday that biometrics registration at shopping malls will stop as of Oct 1. However, people can still submit their biometric data at assigned centers at the personal identity verification departments of the public department for criminal evidence that are open throughout the week from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm. The ministry added biometrics can be submitted at shopping malls until Sept 30 without an appointment. These malls are 360 Mall, The Avenues, Assima Mall and the ministries complex. – KUNA

Sahel app in English ‘soon’

KUWAIT: The English version of the Sahel app is set to be launched soon, according to an announcement posted on the app’s Instagram account on Tuesday. The post does not provide a specific date, however. The government had stated in the past that it was working on introducing an English interface for the app, which has become a pressing need for Kuwait’s large non-Arabic speaking community as more government services were becoming available on the app.
