KUWAIT: The Amiri Diwan announced on Sunday that HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah have no accounts on social media. The Diwan vowed in a statement that legal procedures will be taken against owners of fake accounts in the names of HH the Amir and HH the Crown Prince. The fake accounts have been making statements and attributing them to HH the Amir and HH the Crown Prince, mostly on the X platform.

Separately, the government on Sunday denied rumors that the end-of-service indemnity for government jobs will be reduced or changed. “The end-of-service indemnity (for government employees) will not be touched,” government spokesman Amer Al-Ajmi said in a statement. Ajmi also denied that the age requirement for retirement will be changed, adding that the end-of-service law has not been altered.
